Branford Compassion Club Feline Rescue & Adoption Center will be hosting a Volunteer Recruitment Day on Saturday, September 8 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Animal lovers wishing to make a difference are invited to spend the afternoon, learn about the many volunteer positions available, chat with volunteers and enjoy refreshments. Volunteers are needed for shelter feeding and cleaning shifts, fostering, fundraising and feeding at feral colonies. It’s purrfect for retirees or students wanting to earn volunteer credits. Please note, volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Branford Compassion Club Feline Rescue and Adoption Center is located at 2037 Foxon Rd.
