BCC rescues and cares for over 100 cats and kittens every single day, and our vet bills reflect the need for continued financial support.
Our shelter in North Branford houses 55 cats, our foster network cares for 40 kittens and their mothers, and volunteers care for 4 shoreline colonies. Each one of these cats and kittens requires ongoing veterinary care.
Vetting costs are increasing nationwide, and we’re often faced with unexpected acute medical issues.

- Can I choose the cat I sponsor?
- We have many cats in need and want to share the love! You’ll be assigned to a cat who really needs your help, unless you are a Guardian level sponsor. Once your sponsored cat gets adopted, we’ll automatically assign a new cat for your sponsorship! First names and last initial will be on our monthly sponsor mewsletter, so you’ll know who you’re helping and how they’re doing. If you are a Guardian level sponsor, you’ll receive an email to select a new cat to sponsor each time your chosen cat gets adopted!
- When does my sponsorship start?
- Your sponsorship begins on the first of the month, after your second recurring donation. In other words, if you donated in the month of November and December, you’ll officially join the sponsor program on January 1. You’ll receive an email notification to inform you of the benefits of your sponsorship level!
- Will you tell me when my sponsored cat gets adopted?
- Yes! We will post adoptions in the monthly mewsletter. If you are a Guardian level sponsor, you’ll receive an email to select a new cat. Otherwise, your name will be added to a new cat and featured in the next monthly email newsletter.
- How do I stop sponsoring?
You can do this in a few steps on Paypal.- Log in to your PayPal account
- Go to Settings
- Click Payments
- Select Automatic payments
- Select the merchant you want to cancel
- Click Cancel
- Confirm the cancellation
