Double the Love: Meet Rosebud & Maxamewlin

A Second Chance at Life

Meet Rosebud and Maxamewlin. At 15 years old, these two have spent a lifetime together. Just a couple of weeks ago, their story almost came to a heartbreaking end. Their previous owner was facing severe health challenges and could no longer care for them; with no placement in sight, they were scheduled for euthanasia.

“Meeting them at the vet hospital for the first time, we were moved to tears. Knowing we were able to save them from such a premature end was a moment we will never forget.”

Their Health & Personalities

Rescuing seniors often comes with a “to-do” list, but these two handle it all with grace. They are truly, deeply sweet cats who just want a warm spot to rest.

  • Rosebud (Left): Our brave girl just had a tumor on her abdomen removed on April 8th. We are awaiting pathology results to ensure she stays on the right track.
  • Max (Right): Max was recently diagnosed with diabetes after his blood sugar clocked in at a staggering 515. However, he is a champ! He currently takes Senvelgo—an easy oral medication (no needles required!)—once a day.

Why Choose a Senior Duo?

While we understand the challenge of finding a home for two seniors, we dream of keeping them together. They have been each other’s constant for over a decade. Senior kitties are the ultimate cuddle buds; they don’t swarm you with the frantic energy of a kitten. Instead, they offer a calm, steady presence.

Whether you are a senior looking for a quiet companion or a family with a “chill” household and a big heart, Rosebud and Max would be the perfect fit. To make their transition easier, we are currently applying for grants to provide their future adopter with a potential stipend for their care.
